What is Journey of the Heart?
Journey of the Heart is a four-day, three-night immersive retreat designed to help you step away from the demands of everyday life and create space for God to refresh, restore, and renew your heart. Through biblical teaching, worship, personal reflection, meaningful experiences, and intentional rest, you'll encounter God in a deeply personal way while building lasting friendships with other women.
Every woman is created with extraordinary worth, unique gifts, and the capacity to make an eternal difference. We've thoughtfully prepared every detail so you can simply arrive with an open heart and allow God to restore your heart, renew your vision, and meet you in a fresh, life-changing way.

Journey of the Heart FAQ's
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
What are the travel details?
If you are traveling from out of town and need to arrange flights, here are the best airport options:
Colorado Springs Airport: Approx. 2 hours from the venue
Denver Airport: approx. 3 hours from venue
If you are traveling with friends, we encourage you to share in the expense of renting a car as there is limited parking at the retreat center. There are various car rental companies at each airport.
What time does the event begin and end?
On Thursday the registration starts at 2pm - 5pm. Dinner is served at 6pm that evening.
The event runs through Sunday at noon. Please plan to not have to leave until around 1pm, so you can enjoy the favored last session and have time for goodbye’s. If you want to stay an extra night, there are several hotels near both airports.
Do I need to prepare for the elevation?
Yes, the venue is at an elevation of 9,000 ft. Please prepare ahead of the event by doubling your water intake with electrolytes 3-4 days prior and consider bringing some with you. As well as limiting your alcoholic and caffeinated beverages at least 2 days before. If you’re able, coming in a day early and giving your body time to adjust to the altitude in Denver or Colorado Springs would also help your body acclimate.
How should I dress?
The event is in the mountains, therefore casual comfy is the aim. Jeans and sneakers or hiking shoes are always good in the mountains, (closed toe is highly encouraged). We will have a cowgirl dress up gala celebration on Saturday evening, so have some fun in your favorite blingy cowgirl gear! The days are usually warm, and the temperature drops in the evening, so please bring layers, jackets, hoodies, etc.
Do I need a sleeping bag?
No. The retreat center will provide you with bedding and towels. Although, you may want to bring an extra towel.
What if I have special dietary needs?
Their kitchens are licensed as well as their staff and meet the same regulatory standards as public restaurants. We accommodate all nine major allergens, provide special diet lines, and offer menu alternatives when needed. While not peanut free, peanut products are limited.
Should I bring a reusable water bottle?
Yes, there are locations throughout the retreat center where you can refill your own bottle.
How do I keep informed & updated?
We will be sending emails on a regular basis. Please keep an eye out. And of course you can reach out to whoever invited you and any one of the leaders are happy to answer your questions.
What activities are included?
There will be a variety of options including particular arts & crafts, ziplining & hiking.
